Better known as the ‘BudgetTraveller’, Kash Bhattacharya is a travel blogger, blogger outreach specialist and social media professional.
2013 was a landmark year for the BudgetTraveller. Kash was shortlisted as a finalist in Best Travel Blogger category at the British Travel Press Awards. In August 2013, Kash launched the Luxury Hostels of Europe e-book which showcases 40 of Europe’s leading Luxury Hostels.The blog project was sponsored by easyJet, Interrail, Travelzoo, Busabout and Travellerspoint.The project has been featured by the New York Times, Guardian, CNN and won the most innovative blogging award at World Travel Market last year. The e-book can be downloaded for free on the BudgetTraveller. In September 2013, Kash in partnership with the German National Tourism Office launched his 2nd e-book: ‘BudgetTraveller’s German Wanderlust- a series of 48 hour travel guides to Germany’s leading youth hotspots which you can download for free here http://www.germany.travel/en/ebrochures.html/
In April 2012, Kash launched the #BlogVille project – an innovative partnership with Emilia Romagna Tourism board to help promote the destination via the influence of 45 leading travel bloggers. Receiving over 80 million impressions on social media channels and being featured in Sky, Grazia, Glamour + Cosmopolitan- BlogVille is one of the most exciting blog projects this year and won the most innovative DMO project at WTM 2012.In December 2012, via the iAmbassador partnership Kash developed #Blogmanay campaign for Unique Events and Visit Scotland which has since gone onto win numerous marketing awards.
In conjunction with film expert, Jon Melville, Kash launched FilmTraveller Cote D’Azur -a blog about film tourism in Cote D’Azur for the Cote D’Azur tourism board.
Kash also a social media professional, delivering workshops for travel companies and organisations in the 3rd sector, helping develop and inspire their social media strategies.
